Someshwar Temple / Location / Note / Photo

Someshwar Temple is positioned at Kharsali, a beautiful village easily accessible from Janki Chatti (7km from Yamunotri). Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the temple is noted for its intricate woodwork and carved stones. Devotees worship Lord Shiva in the form of Someshwar, the deity of the intoxicant Soma. Someshwar Temple is three storeyed and offers an astonishing view of the mountains. The Yamunotri Temple is another attraction located nearby.
